Bravo! Yet another once proud airline continues to compete in The Race to the Bottom. I left PDT a year after the merger with Allegheny and even back then the crusty dustys were throwing the junior guys under the bus to save their own asses. I see that tradition has not died....

Glad that place is in my career rear view mirror.

Kind of the opposite of everything you just said. This contract is not concessionary, it improves a number of things at a time when many regionals are taking concessions (PNCL and AE). Also, the junior reserve guys and gals got the biggest improvements, so yea, tradition broken.

What are some of the key changes? What did you guys get out of the whole thing mainly?

Congrats on the new contract (if it's a good thing).

A concessionary contract is any contract that equates to less than any previous contract. The last CBA was concessionary and just because there are improvments on the latest one, it is still concessionary as it does not bring the CBA back up to prior levels.

So you are incorrect. Improvements do not mean a contract can still not be concessionary. The last contract was negotiated to preseve senior jobs through retirement, this latest one (and I've read every word of it as I still have a lot of friends at PDT ) also just keeps the crusty dustys employed at the behest of the junior people...

So...NO, the tradition is alive and well...

Sorry, I don't mean to be so bitter. Any improvments are a positve thing, but I'm sick of my fellow pilots getting short changed by management and single minded senior pilots. That's been the plague of the industry for a long time now and why I left 121 aviation and will never come back. You guys bust your buts on the old Dash and you deserve more than the insult you just voted on.

78% of the voters seem to disagree with your point of view. But facts never mean a thing to self absorbed children like yourself who believe the world revolves around them.

Hate to rain on your parade, but it kinda seems like the individual you're referring to is exactly the opposite of what you just indicated.

I appreciate the defense...too many people in this business and especially on APC just can't see the forest through the trees. They have to resort to petty insults and trolling to make themselves feel better about their own bad choices.

Guys like that will always get theirs when its due. Just leave him be. Always remember..Please don't feed the trolls...

I see PDT is advertising for FO's on FB. "Career progression and best first year pay of any regional". Hope it helps to get more people to apply.
