What aircraft have an upgrade path that doesn't lead to company bypassing?

Please keep the bashing to a min, a "top tier" regional gave me a pink slip. They all suck!

My advice for the interview is to go sleep on a park bench every night for a week. That way, you'll acclimate yourself to their overnight accomodations.

My understanding is that the interview process involves lying down on a backboard for the interview and answering their questions while tossing and turning on the board.

If successful, you'll be handed some hair mousse, a windbreaker and a payment schedule for every flight hour you are granted. The good news is that they've reduced the cost of their backboards. They were able to smoke a deal with various advertisers and they've also been sealcoated for use on your one weeks annual vacation surfing in Buffalo.

The future is bright indeed.

Wow, what a funny post! You make me laugh so hard. Hahahaha. Where DO you come up with this great comedy!?! Maybe you should re-think flying, and consider a career as a comedian!

Umm...what vacation? Two years running they've cancelled them on the CRJ side. Then again Jorn Bates told everyone in an email he'd reisgn if he couldn't fix the problem! :p Mesa is what you make of it. There are some great people there.

Things are day to day with Delta. Future is uncertain. They want to get rid of us, but they might change their mind rather than deal with it in court. Or they can fight it in court and most likely win.

No one has been sent to the ERJ recently and I don't expect that to change. The number of ERJ's we are flying now is significantly less than the 36 planes we were flying, so we are overstaffed on the airplane. By my count about 300 pilots, for less than 20 airplanes.

If we were to lose the flying all together, I think we could absorb the Freedom guys in with no problem. I'd guess were about 200-250 short on the CRJ and Dash (more the CRJ than the Dash) combined.

If we ever get a contract that has a higher number of days off, we will need the man power to cover more pilot lines in each domecile.

Note: I am not advocating coming to work here, or saying that the bottom 300 guys here are safe. Just giving my opinion on what could happen.

ya we have about 6 erj's acting as "spares" to comair and ASA flying that cant be completed...

the other 28 erj's (2 are at tsa) are all parked either in FLO, BNA, or MCO (at the maint hangar)

Actually they are running an ERJ ground school as we speak. Im in the July 28th ground school and two weeks ago we got an email asking for 8 people to volunteer for a July 14th ERJ class. The CEO update said that by OCT 25 ERJ's should be up and flying......

You'll quickly come to learn that the CEO says a lot of things, most of it being bull****. I hope your plan B is better if this is your plan A...
