Close this thread already. I get so tired of listening to all of you bash Mesa pilots with your ignorant wisdom. Then when you're done, you come beg for a ride. Sniper, thanks for always posting facts.

And most of the pretty girls will be back and maybe your luck will be better. I know for me personally, I'd rather go home alone than go home with the fat chick, have her go crazy and tie me up in her bedroom, make me her man-kitty play thing and not be able to get out for 10 years. Places like Mesa are that fat girl. Some guys are into that. I'm not. Strange analogy, I know, but it's been concocted over too many nights spent in hotel bars and when you think about it, it works.

Cheers and good luck with your career.

I love it! Normally I would say to "go ugly early", but in this case I agree you.
Cheers and hang in there.

Hey Pax, your wasting your breath with alot of these guys. I know alot of people that fly for Mesa and its not really as bad as people on these boards make it out to be. What really amazes me is that alot of them dont even work for Mesa but yet they know so much about the company.

I worked at Mesa so I know full well what its like inside that place and its as bad as some people say. You can deny it all you'd like and try your best to defend still being a part of that dump but fact of the matter is working there is not a joy.

Why close it? I want to read how you all can stand this place...

I mean i understand the brainwashing from ASU and that other training place in AZ where they let you fly the jet with no time really... Its the only place you can go after dropping $$$$

First off Mesa is the only place that I can go right now. Tell me who else is hiring? I have been flight instructing for over a year but I missed the big hiring spree because I was finishing my degree, something that alot of regional FO's probably dont have. So now the doors have closed everywhere. Im gonna take my chances with Mesa because its better than taking no chance at all. I know going into this that my chances of getting furloughed are very high, but at the same time if I dont get furloughed im setting my self up to be in a good position when the upswing in this industry comes back. Just out of curiosity, who made you guys the aviation gods? If you know so much about this industry and have all this wisdom why are you still a regional FO? Because I know your next post is gonna be just flight instruct or go fly 135, why dont you go do that?

Well said...go where YOU want to go with your life. Some people on these forums think they know ALL the answers...they don't. I know people that have been in the industry for 40 years and usually I'd take my advice from those guys over these forums any day. Also, I'd be doing the same thing if I were you. At least you'll have some jet time on your resume. Your regional job isn't your life long job...just a stepping stone in life. See where it takes you.

I don't mean to be harsh but you are incredibly naive. We don't claim to be the gods of aviation but you may want to heed some of the advice of those of us who HAVE worked at Mesa. Its a very poor choice and if I could have I certainly would have remained an instructor (20/20 hindsight).
As far as your question about why are we regional FO's still FO's.........did you really just ask that? I mean do you have no understanding of time building, ATP mins or airline seniority? That one just blew me away. rather insulting if I say so myself.
