Unhappy How about a banner on the home page with an updated number of current furlough number

Hey HSLD,

How about a banner on the home page with an updated number of current furlough numbers in total pilots, and then a page with the furlough breakdowns? Also, how about a page with who's hiring?

Just an Idea; What do you think?

Take Care,

As US airlines continue to draw down capacity in Q3 and Q4 expect more furloughs.

Bottom line is that it is an extremely challenging time to be looking for work as a pilot.

I'll second that idea.

So why haven't all furloughed airline pilots simply taken jobs with freight haulers and tour operators? Why all of the employment worries?

Uhhh...because most United, Skybus, Air Midwest, and Aloha guys probably can't make their mortgage payment off of those wages...not to mention the transition to 135 piston twins with no dispatch, glass cockpit, FMS, or ACARS....uhhh, how do I read this IFR enroute chart again? Ha ha ha.
