Alright guys. I need serious answers. I am a CFII and am thinking of going into the airlines now. i am 39 years old former police officer and National Guard officer.
What is the current hiring trend of airlines? I have read on here about stand stills. How accurate is this? Have the airlines stopped hiring? If they have How long is this expected to last? Thanks in advance

Don't mind the childish, Mr. Obvious posts...
The regional hiring trend has come to a hault, no doubt. However, freight and part 135 flying are still actively hiring. If you want to work as a professional pilot, don't let regional airlines not hiring stop you. There are other options.

There are a bunch of good sources on this site in the airlines profiles pages and they will tell you tons about the companies you may want to apply to most likely when the trend changes. When it comes to applying, do your research so that way you know which places may be best for you, your family, career, etc.
