ATC questions
I thought I would post this here cause no one seems to look at career builder as much as regional and major. Im trying to get a job as an ATC but need to finish some college, I read something that Im not to sure is true and cant find an answer on the FAA website. I read that if you have or have held an FAA dispatcher licence or a CTO rating that you can apply with out the 3 years work experience or college, does anyone know if that is true? I have a dispatcher licence but never worked as a dispatcher because Im not 23 yet and Im in the process of tryng to get my CTO from the community college of beaver county. If any anyone can answer this or know where I can get more info it would highly be appreciated!

I recommend this site:
ATCCTI.com • Index page
Also, check out this site:
National Air Traffic Controllers Association
Looks like 689 days of working under a unilaterally imposed labor contract (so far).
I believe it's $8.75 to start at the academy in Oklahoma City for the first two months, then off to your facility for an annual salary of $37,000. Woo Hoo !!!!
Right now, the contract towers (non-federal) pay more money to start, but you generally have to have the Control Tower Operator certificate.
I gotta chuckle... you couldn't find answers on FAA website.... funny. Don't worry, anything that happens; ALL IS WELL> SAFETY WAS NEVER COMPROMISED !!!
