man I would take being stuck in Mexico any day cuz my company forgot to pay there bookies, much better than stuck in Burlington or Pittsburgh waiting for a wheels up time back to JFK.

But last I saw bout the XJT guys stuck was a article on airliners.net

You must have me confused with someone else. If I had any reason to be bitter at XJT it wouldn't be because of not getting hired at a place I never interviewed at in the first place. Though I'm always willing to lay a little $$$ down and prove someone who feels so confident wrong Just found it funny some find it a good thing to be stuck in another country.

no one was stuck in mexico. If our hotels overbook then they are required to find us comparable rooms elsewhere and provide transportation. It is in the contract they sign. We also have the ability to get reimbursed if we have to pay out of pocket (in theory it wouldn't be too long but there are horror stories). CAL apparently has a "fly to mexico for free" deal to improve thier economy. The details of that deal are unknown but apparently somebody south of the border never put the ExpressJet on the engine and the Globe on the tail were any different then the 737??? i dunno but when they realized it wasnt CAL flying they wanted their money. under our CPA CAL picked up the tab for all those expenses anyway so CAL paid the man... having mexican loan sharks on your ass... not fun
