The Union better be smart or they will all be out of a job and then they can all blame each other.
Sounds like one of J.O.'s management puppets up at the Crystal Palace or someone who is either terribly uninformed or is hitting the crack pipe pretty hard

You mean the old sign it or lose your jobs deal? Good luck to Mesa guys we're all counting on you.

The weaknesses were:
PBS is a monthly bid system in contrast to Mesa's 28 days bid cycle. A modest pay raise may actually not be a raise since Mesa runs 13 bids a year now vs. 12 with PBS. There was not a provision for more days off. The TA would actually result in working 20 more days per year. I have not read the TA as the pilot group has not seen it, but this is what I've been told by someone who has read it.

To Mesa pilots,
Don't settle for less than you deserve. Think like Mesa's management would when reading the TA. No "to the extent possible" language.

Also the union email said that the TA "did not include the clarity and language necessary to resolve many issues MAG pilots face."

This is a big reason why we have been getting screwed over for the last four years!

This time, there are no Freedumb *********s taking the jobs of the pilot group, so the leverage lies with the pilot group. J.O. has started his boring and predictable tactics....(furlough, threats of lost flying, etc.). We have all seen too many times before.

It is time for ALPA to grow a pair and force J.O. to the table and get everything that is deserved. With the stock price hovering near 50 cents, he is over a barrell.

It is time for Mesa pilots to stand up and get what is owed and finally shed the stigma from the rest of the industry.

BEST OF LUCK GUYS! STAND FIRM AND UNITED!

That was a wise move by the MEC. The TA would have likely been rejected by the pilot group because it didn't make improvements in minimum days off. By sending the negotiating committee back to the table with management, they are actually speeding things up.
Congrats Mesa MEC.

Congrats Mesa MEC.
Did they offer 6 days off with but with a 12 month bid?

Is there a possibility that the recent furloughs are related to this contract dispute?

Stand tall, if you can stay united and stand for a good contract, it will give all of us that are butting heads with managment a breath for fresh air. It just might even open the eyes of other managment groups.

Congrats Mesa MEC.
I agree, but for different reasons. I'd be afraid the pilots would cave...over 50% of them are relatively new, and willingly went to work there in the midst of a massive industry hiring boom. Not sure what those folks were thinking...

But kudos to the MEC for exercising adult supervision at the playground, that's the way alpa SHOULD work at the regionals.
