Great for you guys! We are all so happy for you.
Over at ASA, we are not hiring or growing, are downgrading Captains and possibly furloughing in the fall. Please keep informing us of your good fortunes as you grow in our only base for our only partner.
Ps. It's funny how we lost so much flying and couldn't get any growth while we were negotiating a new contract but Pinnacle seems to have no problem.

Yah it is frustrating to see pinnacle getting the delta flying while we fought for a contract by doing what you need to do. Slowing things down, getting management to hurt enough to sign a contract. As a result of that we got a contract but lost flying.
Pinnacle gets more flying, complains they dont have a contract but at the same time still keeps flying on time and getting titles like most on time airline in the country. Yah, I am sure your management is in a big rush to sign an expensive contract when you keep putting out good numbers and getting more flying.

While it comes off a little harsh, he does have a point. We have a SH$% contract right? Yes. We get treated like SH$% right? Yes.
But as far as 9E management is concerned the airline runs ontime, and they get best ontime awards... blah blah blah. Why would they be eager to come to the table, there getting what they want. Pilots that will work for SH&* money and rules, but do what they are told when they are told.
While I disagree with him saying that if we went on strike nobody would walk... but if we did, there will be scabs.
If this session at the end of the month does not yield any results with the NMB then we are in trouble. I personally think we will not have a TA for another year.
Last question, do you think NW mainline guys would be running an award winning airline if they were without contract for 5 years? Heck they bought NW to a standstill last summer when they were having problems with overtime!

I am sick and tired of other pilot groups getting mad and other pilot groups...are you guys for real!!! Did you not know what you were getting yourself into when you said "I wanna be a airline pilot and fly shiny jets" Did you not study...or do research...My God...THIS IS AN AIRLINE BUSINESS...key word...BUSINESS!!!
Truman...if you thought it was going to be a rosy ride to the top my friend in this business...you have a rude awakeing my friend...ITS TOUGH...Its not the 1960's anymore...We are in a 2008's Greedy Management Pricey Oil Cheap Passenger Environment. Not only is a pilot going to have to know the safety elements of flight...they are going to have to make correct business descisions on which airline they are going to go to...none of this crap of "who ever calls me first"
Truthfully...I had a job offer from ASA, Mesaba and Pinnacle...well I choose PNCL...not for the money (All money aint good money)...but for the stability...10 year contracts...at least I knew I could build my time with them for the next 7-9 years if needed then move on to something better...ASA was too wishy washy on what they were doing with there ATR's and they just got bought by Skywest and Mesaba just got out of CHAP 11.
I am not trying to Flame on you TRUMAN but just trying to make a point...You had a choice to go to ASA...did you look at there business plan for the future? Their history and their marketing and their relationships with their vendors (meaning Delta). When you go to your next airline...try not to only look at their payscales...but also look at there business...I wish all the best for the guys at ASA

Dude we have 11 airplanes ops for Delta... were not getting anymore as far as I'm concerned.

Dude if you don't like the industry...QUIT!!!! Maybe you should get on your management and tell them to be aggressive on their biding for flying!!! Maybe you should take a business course or two and become a manager yourself and turn your company around instead of crying about...DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!
