I sure hope that it is the latter. The sooner we can take over the 900 flying at PSA, the better. Expansion is what we need to get our furloughs back and resume upgrades.
The old "we're getting screwed, so I hope you get screwed" mentality.

You must me young. If you weren't, you wouldn't hope for more pilots to lose their jobs.

We all want our companies to do well, including Mesa pilots that are now fearing a furlough. Everyone assumes that Mesa pilots are low time pilots but I know a lot that got hired with high TT but wanted the base that Mesa had. I personally never wanted to work for Mesa because of their bad work rules but I don't want any pilot out on the street. It is bad for all of us.
Most Mesa pilots I hear on the radio are foreigners. They are filling jobs that should belong to Americans, but that is a seperate issue.

I hate to see a pilot lose a job, but Mesa going belly up would benefit the whole industry.

That is the most idiotic thing to say, if somebody is working as an FO or Capt at a US airline is becouse he has AT LEAST a us permanent residency, wich means he has the same right to work in the US as anybody else and denying it would be discrimination, think before you post...

What an ingorant thing to say. Let see how many AMERICAN pilots fly for JAL, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Singaport Airlines, Emerates, ETC. ALL overseas airlines. You need to change your attitude, we are not in the early to mid 1900s anymore.

here is an idea....Mesa could outsource all of its pilots to india, just like Dishnetwork does on for their customer service. then they could pay them $5.00/hr....

i can just hear it now, (in thick Indian accent), "hello, welcome aboard Mesa flight 6969, my name is john".........

oh wait, i better not say that too loud, they might ACTUALLY do that....

Jeff

p.s....that was an attempt at humor, so dont start flaming!!
