Mesa Furloughs??
#21
Is it that long? I heard that the Mesa Airways contract will expire the end of this year.
I sure hope that it is the latter. The sooner we can take over the 900 flying at PSA, the better. Expansion is what we need to get our furloughs back and resume upgrades.

Wow, really classy. I'm facing a furlough, and I wouldn't think of saying something like that.

2009 is the date for the Mesa PHX no compete clause for Airways. Until then, all Airways contract flying out of PHX must be performed by Mesa. They can bring in a competing contractor after 2009 like they have done in CLT.

We all want our companies to do well, including Mesa pilots that are now fearing a furlough. Everyone assumes that Mesa pilots are low time pilots but I know a lot that got hired with high TT but wanted the base that Mesa had. I personally never wanted to work for Mesa because of their bad work rules but I don't want any pilot out on the street. It is bad for all of us.
