Humor gone bad

But, common sense would figure that there would be at least one smart person on board, or at least someone who had their Iphone to say "no, no we're not there...we're here..no one fret about a thing!"
Have you noticed the inverse proportion with cell phones. The louder the caller the less important the call?
Oh.. and CLE again, ever notice the cap for the huge airshaft for the underground salt mine about 5 miles out in the water?

Fire him...no. But that's one of the lamest attempts at "humor" I've seen. 95% of those people don't want to be on that plane in the first place. Why not just fly them to their destination in silence (which I think people greatly prefer) versus a weak attempt at being funny.

More than once making a PA I said the wrong destination city because I looked at my paring wrong.
Then again, I'm an idiot and always corrected it with an apology and a little self-deprecating humor.
Pulling out the "emergency" card was the definition of a "stupid pilot trick", but IMO shouldn't be cause for termination.

Whew ! ppl need to chill out
Talk about wound up tighter than a rubber band and one more thing there is a hell of a big difference between Toledo and Clevelands skyline.
Reprimand Yes Termination NO !
I would have tried that myself but then again boxes don,t complain

On April Fools a couple years ago while en-route I told all the pax that fog had unexpectedly formed at our destination and that ATC had advised us we would be holding for at least 3 hours (it was supposed to be a total of a 45 minute flight). The captain, in on the joke, came on about 2 minutes later and told everyone that is was an April fools and that we were in fact going to be 5 minutes early and the weather was perfect, as predicted. Everyone getting off was laughing, one person said "wow, you really got us good, nice job." While I think this one was probably taken a little too far...I think firing the guy would be waaaaaaaaaay too harsh. People need to lighten up...
