I have to say this pilot is about as bright as a bag full of hammers.

Life’s too short. Anyone that can be in a good mood after getting put 2 hours behind on his work day is VERY professional to still have a good sense of humor. I like it.

Lighten up. People that ***** about humor and joking around are what has made this country a lawsuit happy state of paranoia. 2 hours isn't life or death, and an extra call on a cell phone is really not a big deal. Think of the story people can tell and have a laugh about. There are kids starving in Somalia, and people dying in Iraq you know.

People need to laugh more and stop getting so angry at such trivial things.

But I paid $59 hard earned dollars on this ticket! For that kind of price, the pilots should be professional!

Stewardess??!?!?! More rum and Diet Coke...NOW!!!

D@MN, the batteries on my bluetooth headset are getting low!

And I had to fly on one of those dangerous puddle jumpers! Ok, that does it. I'm suing!!!

well the guy does need a break, but it was the STUPIDEST thing to do. I am sure there is a least a little unpaid vacation in his future. They will lose business for that little joke.

Probably was hilarious to them, but it was about as funny to the pax as that Spanish national basketball team photo.

Obviously you haven't been holding a crying baby for two hours waiting to board an aircraft...

Or you've never traveled with a spouse that is so nervous flying, no one can stand to be around him/her...an extra two hours is a lifetime...

Delays in aviation, if you haven't noticed, are getting the attention of Congress...

Then, some 'tard decides to make the situation worse with a joke that is something even YOU wouldn't admit to in an interview. It was in bad taste, maybe funny to us pilots, but then again doing a steep turn or a barrelroll with a planeload of nervous pax would be funny to us pilots, but in no way was it a professional action that deserves to be defended.

Who said it was the FO, more than likely it was the CA. If I were him I'd be more concerned how the Feds feel about his "humor" than his employer. It's one thing to tick off your boss, it's another to tick off a Fed.

Allan Hill heard about this and has the KY ready, saw him the other day down at the titty bar buying leather chaps.
