Well that I'm not sure about. My buddy that I was mentioning was hired as a FO. I'm more than willing to work as an FO until GLA feels I'm ready to upgrade. But if you have 1900 PIC I dont see why you wouldnt be brought in as a Capt. just my .02

When I got hired, you didn't stand a chance at an interview unless you had someone write you a LOR from inside the company. Things could be going back that way after a short hiatus from that thinking over the past year.

Good luck.

I've personally seen high-time resumes go into the round-file. I think they do not want to hire guys who they think are going to leave soon. Obviously, there is no where to go right now, but I would wager that they still have this mentality.

How loose? Better tighten it.

Hard to believe quality time guys are going to lakes especially with the 15 month contract and 27 dollar pay. The major airline monthly per diem is most likely more than the monthly pay at lakes.

Perhaps, but its better than some places furloughed pilots are choosing to go to...

I heard there is a 70% washout rate in ground school. Would that be because of lower time guys getting into airplanes over their head and hand flying it or guys that are used to pushing buttons and watching the airplane fly itself?
My buddy I was referring to who was hired by GLA just washed out.

I heard the same, I also heard that high time guys wash out too and its' an extremely high wash rate. Don't know what GLA is doing, ones should use extreme caution when going there.
