Thanks for all the input on my situation I will definitely take it into consideration when making my decision. Ultimate goal is to fly for the majors somewhere down the road but we shall see what road I take I'll keep you guys/girls updated.

Albany is Also a Q base as of now. Rumors are going around that all outstations may get closed for the Q, so who knows whats going on there.

For those guys who posted with the low hours. Definately apply because you cant win the lottery if you dont buy a ticket. Ok the lottery is a horrible analogy for Colgan but you get the idea.

Do I think you have a chance? No, not with todays market. I talked to the recruiter the other day and the first day they got a few hundred resumes with average hours in the 2000TT range. But then again...you never know.

Also, even if there is little movement in upgrades with the Saabs there will be movement for the Q's. Pinnacle announced Spring 2010 for more Q's which seem very far off. However when you figure how far in advance you have to staff those planes upgrades may not be that far off.

So lets say upgrades are slow this next year and beging to pick up when they need to staff the Q's that will be a lot sooner than any hiring by the majors.
i dunno my number has only gone up like 8 points in the last 6 months, thats not much attrition

Anybody have any idea how senior SCE is? Getting that base is the only reason why I would consider going there. Do you think think they'll be firm on the 1000TT w/previous 121 experience. Currently have about 800TT and am flying the CRJ-200 (not trying start a props vs jets debate).

I think they will be VERY firm on the mins and I think we will find they will just be mins and not competitive mins. They have more resumes then they know what to do with from some very highly qualified guys (multiple type ratings and thousands of hours of turbine PIC.) No one wants to make the awful FO pay but in desperate times it puts ramen noodles on the table and keeps you current while you wait for net jets to call.

No offense but with 800 hours TT you should be open to any regional that will give you a job. If I am the one sitting across from you during an interview and you told me that is the only reason you want to work for Colgan I would be hard pressed to give you any more time, again no offense. They will be pretty firm, as stated in previous posts because they have many apps with 2000+ and many have 121 time.

And SCE is very senior and your chance on it is pretty nil. The 4 lines there are occupied by FO's with about a June 2007 hire date and I gurantee there is a line of FO's waiting to get in after they upgrade.
