Default Pinnacle's on time performance

Pinnacle led the industry in on time arrivals in July. You guys want a new contract, right?

While I agree with what you're hinting at, this isn't breaking news and has been discussed here in several other threads.

Also with are block times insanely over blocked...it makes it nearly impossible to be late...you would have to have a serious mx issue or a very bad ground crew to be late. Just wait for the winter to roll around things will be back to normal.

Not entirely. Quit closin the door till all checklists are done. FA complience checks done thoroughly and completely prior to door closure. Brake doesn't drop till CA is ready

Ummmmm....we are talking about on time Arrivals...not on time departures...even if we are late departing...we are so over blocked that we will still be on time...again Arrivals

Maybe I'm missing something here (3 hours sleep) but 20-30 minutes isn't enough time to run a 12 item before start checklist? or maybe a FD inspection check too? Have fun explaining that to the CP when he recommends you for a PC or to the NMB saying the pilots aren't playing fair.

p.s. since I know people will misread/misinterpret this, no I am not advocating our stellar on time performance. But sometimes management finally gets scared, the stars all align just right, and the ramp/gate is finally fully staffed making it really tough, absent a MTX issue, to justify a late departure. Even though this thread is about arrivals

Be one minute late on Block Out, no checklist until the doors closed and the brake has been dropped, taxi slow, don't accept immediates, no short cuts and fly 250/M.70 or slower. Also, hold off calling MX control on small issues so that it makes you late blocking out or wait until you’re blocked out so that you can eat into your on time arrival and get paid for it (this actually gives you a good excuse when and if the CP calls wondering why you where late).

I'm not advising it but it can be done and it works in your favor if you get Block or Better.

In 3 1/2 years flying 121.... here is how I see it..... The crew should be ready to push when the door closes....taxi normally, no need to use the SWA method just normally... be ready to go when its your turn number one at the end...fly the flight planned route, fly the planned cruise speed, call mx control when its appropriate. Then let the chips all where they may.....IF your block times have been adjusted to be very hard to over block then hell, just get there. My thing is fly by the contract no more ...no less.
