Bedford (Big Poppa as he is known in Indy) runs the company. Mokulele is a company looking to grow its business. Bedford is looking to line his and the share holders pockets while getting his furloughed employees off the streets. This means putting airplanes to work vs parking them.

At last count RAH will have 7 remaining planes that were allocated to go to Frontier. This of course after the highly emotionally charged battle with picking up work for 10 of the aircraft with Midwest Connect. The reason no one is getting called back is because we are still 14 (i think) aircraft short with the closing of our CVG base and release of our 135's.

The quick math. 17 aircraft parked + 14 sold. He picked up work for 10 and still have 7 to place with enough flight crews for 31. It will probably be a while before we get our pilots back to work.

Alaska would be a nice code share for us to pick up for feed. Unfortunately this will put Alaska fat by some crews. That is not really an area of Big Poppa's concern nor should it be. His concern should be the financial strength of RAH.

Don't forget to take into account the 175's for delta. Those are going to help offset the 135's leaving.

Seriously, what are trying to say? I read that three times and still have no clue.
I am not the spelling police, but that was like trying to read a high school text message after a full night of drinking and I forgot my decoder ring.

From what I hear Mokulele bought two ERJs I don't know how RAH union is going to let pilots fly aircraft that are not theirs. But then again maybe Mokulele is leasing the aircraft and the pilots...not sure yet.....

What???? RAH is going to be flying Ejets for a Hawaiian codeshare if everything goes through. Not ERJs . Why on earth would RAH put their pilots in someone elses aircraft? I can't imagine a business move that would make them any less money. It's not about the pilots it's about the aircraft. Whatever RAH does it will be to get their aircraft flying.

Is the E-170/175 not considered a Embraer Regional Jet? If it's not a regional jet, what would you consider it??
By the way, RAH will not be codesharing with Hawaiian. They will have a sticker near the main door that states "Mokulele Airlines, operated by Republic." Hawaiian will be their direct competitor.

ERJ is a name not a classification. They are both regional jets (RJs). As you said, E-170. They are known as "E-Jets". The ERJ-145/140/135 is known as the ERJ.

As of yet there is no declaration of who the flying will be for. Until it's made official any guess is as good as another. I never said the flying would be for Hawaiian Airlines. I said RAH would be flying for a Hawaiian codeshare, meaning an airline based in Hawaii. I use that term because as mentioned before there have been no notifications of who it would be. All that was stated was that the flying would be for a new codeshare. That would eliminate Frontier, American, Delta, CAL, MidEx, United, and US Air. We don't know who it will be for but the flying will be for a Hawaiian airline most likely. Anything can change though and this deal could fall through tomorrow. I'm not doubting that what you've said is possible but since nothing has been made official I wouldn't be so bold as to say what name will be on the side of the jet. I still find it hard to believe that someone flying as an express carrier for Go! airlines is wanting to hire us.

Boyer has been extremely ambitious with Mokulele after he purchased the company from the Inaba's. He bought Mokulele as a sightseeing company and turned it into an interisland carrier just before go! hit the scene. I wouldn't be surprised if this is his goal of making it big in Hawaii. I am trying to get ahold of some contacts working for the Hawaii State Department of Transportation to see if there are any preparations for this... for example, the airports will need new ramp and parking lines, ticket counters, etc.

I once thought Island Air would have stepped up their game, but I guess they didn't.
