There are many of us at Colgan working to pass ALPA this time so we can become more unified eith 9E.

I do not put much into what nicolasblonde's thoughts, although it is a little funny he has to put CFI, CFII and MEI after his position.

Well, since last year's vote failure by 4 VOTES... and after some of the crap that management has pulled on us since then... especially the new sick policy ... they've ****ed off enough of us to almost ensure that a vote passes this time around. Don't get me wrong, I am a company man, but I also want to be treated fairly and with some respect. That and I REALLY hate 8 leg days...

It's not funny I put that behind my position...it's sad. I put that on here since people know I work at 9E to make sure no one thinks I went to Jet U...because I HATE Jet U...

I hope you guys vote in ALPA...I have nothin but love for ya if you can do it. I apologize for being negative towards you guys. You're not GoJetters, definitely not the guys who were there pre-purchase. But I have pulled up next to Q400s with various captains on many occasions when they get a little irritated by the presence of those Q400s (bigger than our little 200, looming on the tarmac)...and make statements about how that plane sitting there is a raise they shoulda had a long time ago. This isn't your fault...it's management, and moreover the Republican-majority NMB that are to blame...

lately reading these forums makes me want to remove forums from my bookmarks. We are all in this together in the 121 world. Every carrier contract directly influences everyone. Stop bickering! I feel AlPA would only bring positives to 9L, it will also bring a contract to 9E, and will raise the bar for every 121 operator. Think long term and use some maturity- we can figure out who everyone is and this is a small industry. Mgmt laughs at us ripping each other apart and then claiming "unity".

You correct, it gets old. "you guys suck and we rule." I think it is crazy to think the 9E pilots would have been given a raise if they had not purchased the Q's. It is not a money issue with 9E, it is they do not want to pay up to its pilots because they now the pilots can never get released to strike with this administration.

[quote=nicholasblonde;476019]
Just think about whose lack of a raise for 3 years paid for those Q400s you guys are trucking around in, and if you guys take more deliveries, or if the company starts reducing our fleet size in return for building you guys up with Delta/NW, start thinking about how little difference there is between you and a goJet pilot (if they ever pull that off).[quote]

And when Colgan announced they were going to furlough a few months ago did the Colgan pilots get on here complaining about PNCL pilots?

The attitude of "it's all about us, we made the money that will buy those Q400s so do as we say and vote ALPA" isn't going to get the reaction you desire.

Take it from a guy who's been at Colgan for long enough, the threat tactics to join ALPA will NOT work. Thank's for the help though.

Colgan pilots, vote ALPA, not because the PNCL say we should, but because ALPA will offer us the most resources to succeed.

+1...the last thing pilots need to be doing right now is fighting each other. We should all stand together across unions for our profession

Guys, Colgan pilots are not the problem, its their management. We need to wait and see what they do this ALPA drive...............

Today when we were doing the roadshows (for the concessionary TA) there was myself, and two other CA's who used to be at Colgan, we were all trading "Colgan war stories" it was funny the one recurring theme was how fun the crews were (except for the random Cowboys etc.......), but until you have spoken with Colgan crews, or flown with them dont blame the industries problems on them..................

I honestly never thought I would say this sincerely in regards to SAAB's remarks towards Colgan ... but thanks SAAB. I really hope that the ALPA drive succeeds this time around ... it will just be flat out sad if it doesn't after some of the crap management has pulled on us over the last year.

You're right about the Colgan crews though. They are some of the best people I have had the privilage of flying with, and are a blast to be around both on and off the clock. I hope that when the ALPA drive succeeds this time around, things will start looking up dramatically for both 9L and 9E!

some guys just couldn't care less if pilots of another company haven't had a pay raise in 3 years.
Oh really? I guess some guys just don't care less if pilots of another company get stapled under us...
