I've got a novel idea. How about load up mainline with flying so there are more mainline jobs for us? I don't want to be stuck at a regional all my career, and granted, more flying at this level is good for me in the short term, but in the long run -- not so much. I'd rather suck it up now so we all have some chance of a half way decent career at a mainline carrier.

But that's just me. Maybe I'm a tad bit too pollyanna.

SKW attrition this year. The format doesn't transfer very well and I'm to lazy to fix it but you can figure it out.

This post is worth its weight in gold. This is a pilot who gets it. We all should be hoping for no cuts at any mainline so that people can move up. I don't have a dog in this fight anymore, but all you youngn's should be more excited to get a job at a mainline rather than hoping you fly to BWI, LGA, etc. which should support mainline service.

i noticed skywest had their 35th anniversary -900 parked at the A terminal in PHL today. It was a Midwest gate. is SKW flying -900's for Midwest now? Am I missing something?

Midwest doesn't have any gates at PHL. American does the ground handling. Delta parks right next door which is where that OO -900 was.
