Between Delta and Northwest’s regional carriers, Delta Connection senior vice president Don Bornhorst said, “If you add everyone up together now you have nine. I think the right answer is going to be along the lines of seven or eight.
AKA Freedom.

“A number of times, regional carriers are put in a very difficult spot,” assigned to operate out of airports plagued with air traffic congestion, for example, said Regional Airline Association president Roger Cohen. “It’s like you’re a college football team and you get scheduled against USC every week.”
I think he meant Texas.

Whipsaw? DAL says they are cutting low performers...those usually tend to be the bottom feeders. Good on them.

But Pinnacle has somehow figured out how to pay low wages and get excellent performance out of it. But the pilot group is working hard to fix the low wages part.

I wouldn't call being at the bottom of every category except Start Flight D-0 month-to-date for today excellent performance.

There is a good chance that what you and I consider a low performer is a far cry from what management does. Meaning, they might consider the airline with the smallest profit margin the lowest performer despite it having decent on time percentages, etc. Anything that airline has that interferes with the bottom line (insert pilot payscales here) might be seen as a negative. I guess it just boils down to their priorities.

PNCL is worst performing out of all the currently flying DCI folks.

The article specifically addressed operational performance. While I'm sure DAL likes low costs, they seem to draw the line when it costs them their customers (see Freedom).

How come no one seems to know when the Freedom court date is? Freedom guys will tell you there is no law suit. Delta seems to say something different? When will they finally be gone?
