Furthermore, if you are getting brand new CRJ-700 NG's ... why do you need checklists from a public forum... shouldn't you be getting training and manuals included with your aircraft purchases direct from Bombardier? I believe thats how it usually works...

I wonder why anyone would bust their ass for 6 weeks to come home for only 2 weeks. That's 75% work for 25% time with the family. Unacceptable. Even a 9-5 desk jockey works only 71% of the time (5-day work week). For a U.S. pilot to commute to Yemen, where the U.S.S. Cole was terrorized, for 75% of his life for $7k a month is beyond me. Though I do have a job and will not speak for my friends who are furloughed from Frontier, Airtran, Skybus, etc... But still, that's just an insult.

I would rather work for minimum wage over in the states than work in the middle east...Yemen!

One 700NG was delivered about 5 days ago. 7 more ordered, with options for a few more. There will be at least two (used) -200's, the first to be delivered in a few weeks. There's no requirement to use a Bombardier checklist; actually, I doubt many airlines do. I asked for checklists so that I can quickly get some ideas as to what we may want to integrate into our in house checklists. There are no company checklists yet, and no SOP's. Somebody asked about some "official" way to get checklists. Let's see, I got quite a few in about an hour. That's about as official as I need, and I thank everybody that helped. |

Why don't you go find the person in your company that wrote your checklists, and then ask him/her what the hiring situation prognosis is there? I don't know what the hiring is. But, I suspect that as the planes are delivered over the next few months, there will be hiring. If you're interested in working in the middle east, and you're rated and current in the CRJ, I recommend calling one of the broker/agents who handle that type of hiring: Avionco in Calgary Brookfield in London Again, thanks all who sent theirs. I think I now have Eagle, too. I would like a Mesa one....... |
