New airlines do indeed use other airlines checklists as references, however, that is always done way way before the arrival of the first aircraft. Believe it or not, regulatory agencies care very much about checklists, so don't simply blow it off. All that being said, I still raise the BS flag on this one, because you have to get all this stuff done way way way before getting aircraft. I mean, all that aircraft is going to do is sit around waiting for the SOPs and other manuals to be completed.

I will say, however, that TW mentioned Avionco, which does help start ups with its pubs, so who knows.

And if I remember correctly, he used to work for an airline here in the US?

Normally I would agree with you, however...

Many of us on APC know TW (his real name) personally or by reputation...he is rated in the CRJ and unemployed. Doesn't seem unusual to me that he might have gone overseas in this hiring climate. Also, it sounds like he wants to compare several checklists to see if the airlines came up with any gotchas which bombardier might have missed.

Also, for all of you airline-startup experts...the middle-east is a whole different animal. Whatever you think are the regualtory issues here, I guarantee that they do not apply in Yemen :rolleyes:

There is nothing wrong with asking for CRJ checklists. They are not security sensitive documents.

I'm sorry I didn't mention it earlier, but I won't need the "before landing" or "terminating" portion of the checklist.

By the way, any of you infidels who have actually been trained in a CRJ should have gotten the Bombardier manuals, which includes the Bombardier checklists. Yet, your company has it's own "FAA approved" checklist. Hmmmm.... Why? Could it be some terrorist plot?

As many of you know, before I was a middle eastern Al Qaeda agent, I spent a couple decades beating my head against the wall with FAA manglement.

I suspect that it will be fertile ground in Yemen, but who knows? Most of the developing world still works on mañana time.

And they have the same opinion about the American occupiers as some here have of their own paranoid idea that all Middle Easterners must be associated with terrorists.
