Great attitude. What difference does it make if it's your first airline job, or your last? You've probably spent a ton of money and time getting your ratings. Why settle for a job that you can't even afford the basics on?

Give him a break. Anyone that goes to Lakes, literally isn't looking to make money. It's a sacrifice and lakes is EAS flying, doesn't affect the rest of the industry.

I'm sorry, but I don't care if it's a 1900 flying EAS routes, or an ERJ. First year pay is awful everywhere. But to have an attitude of "I don't care what the pay is, it's just my first job" is nonsense. Attitudes like that are what keep the pay so low in the first place.

Not much difference anyways but definite lower QOL. From what I know, they average a lot more, up to 120 hours per month. At 16 bucks, you do the math. So in the end not much difference, you might be able to supersize once in a while on 1st year RJ pay, that's it.

Attitude alone doesn't keep the pay low. All of us who ever ACCEPTED a job at a regional are guilty of this sin. It's simply supply and demand. Those who live in glass cockpits shouldn't throw stones!

You're right. And if everybody was hiring I doubt Lakes would even enter the thoughts of many of the guys currently going there. I'm sorry but at a certain point flying just isn't worth it. Maybe that's why I'm waiting out a furlough myself.

Have you gone to any job fairs? GLA seems to be at a few of them. Try walking in a resume if you happen to be in the CYS area. Good Luck.
