Heres another question. If this lawsuit was so airtight as some on this forum have claimed, why was it settled for two million dollars? Didnt HAL get upwards of 50 Million? I think maybe the know it alls on this forum just arent as smart as they think they are!

the problem is there isnt any $ left to pay that kind of settlement. 2 million is better then nothing and 10% of the stock might be worth nothing or a decent amount time will tell. Hopefully the flight bennies will be decent for the former Aloha employees.

The Aloha employee's can fly on Hawaiiian according to B.I.L. I think the flight bennies from Mesa are just for inter-island according to my brother inlaw (mesa pilot) I know, I tried to talk him out of it .
Oh Mesa might be buying the rights to use TWA and EAL paint scheme

most mesa pilots hate the company more than anyone else. you may not have noticed, but most trabajos del vuelo are few and far between given the current state of the industry so options are limited.

turbofan put no one out of business. he's trying to stay afloat, build some hours, and get the hell out of the regional’s like the rest of us.

work for less? last time i checked anyone with three stripes on their shoulders makes less than the bus driver that picks them up at the employee lot.

seriously dude... take your easy bake oven grasp of commercial aviation management and head back to preschool before naptime ends.
That's some funny stuff there I love it keep it up tzadik.

NWA757: seriously just because you "moved on". (debatable because the next post you state you are from x-jet) Do you think that gives you full latitude to condemn those currently there. The word hypocrisy comes to mind take a look in the mirror. Finally last I checked SKW is the co that most recently bid for x-jets flying.

nwa: Let me ask you, what did you enter this industry expecting to make? Just because XJ (who is suffering financially right now) payed you exorbitantly, doesn't mean you should expect the same from every carrier.

It really all comes down to this. I am in this business for myself. I am doing what I enjoy and getting compensated what I feel is fair for it at the level I am. I would never do this for free, or much less than what is being paid now. However, if I were, that would be my decision. Obviously you're in the minority on your views. Otherwise, things would be your way. That's just the nature of it. I am willing to give a little blood and sweat to do what I want. Don't like it? Then maybe you're in the wrong profession.

No every rj pilot should be paid what XJ was paying there was nothing exorbitant about it. Please refrain from posts like the one above it makes your fellow bro's look bad. More specifically you are not fairly compensated.

That's your opinion. If you feel so undercompensated, why are you still working in this profession? It's my understanding that you have the option to do other things if you feel you are not paid fairly.

BTW, I don't see how it's fair that a second year RJ FO should make the same as a second year A320 FO, do you?

Fair?

If a pilot group can negotiate 320 rates for RJ FO's I say more power to them! (and I want them on my negotiating committee ).

Pilots get paid what they can negotiate, in most cases collectively through a bargaining agent. Some pilot groups are obviously better at it than others.

Well technically I'm not right now & yes I'm lama. The Avg A320 FO payscales suck that is why I did not pursue any of those jobs. Do you know what narrow body pay used to be pre 9-11? Again do a little homework 1st before making your mag bro's look bad that's all I'm asking. Otherwise you will perpetuate the stereotype.

Fair. I'm not standing up for or condemning the actions of management. I'm happy where I stand and I have no desire to get tied up in a fight with mgmt when I am happy. I won't hinder you from your fight with them, but don't blame me for just having job and earning a living.
