I am hopeful that the replacement aircraft will come to the wholly owneds; however, I would not be suprised if Republic bribes their way into the flying and take our jobs just like Midwest's.
Mesa lost all 200 flying for legacy airways out of PHL in 2005. But there were always a handful in PHX for AW, and these still operate under the new USA banner.

I could be wrong but this is exactly why I think the two airframes could be comming out of the 38 900's and not the 11 200's. MESA does quite a bit of CRJ-900 flying out of CLT. Flying that is done right alongside PSA, AWC, Republic, and PDT. It makes more sence to take airframes and flying out of the eastside where there are plenty of other Airways regionals to pick it up should the flying that those 900's are doing now should not just be dropped. Which there is a good chance that Airways could be using this to take some flying out concidering they have said they want to cut seats.

I have double checked what I thought was the case here at Mesa, and we are indeed reducing -200's. There are only 5ish left (I'm never in PHX, too senior for my blood). The language surrounding it is in the 2007 annual report, for those interested.

The number of -900's for USAirways is stedy at 38, split between CLT and PHX. We have more block hours in PHX.

Mesa currently has 11 200s in service for HP/US and they are all based in PHX. This is factual and true. If you question that feel free to PM me.

I was told wrong by a PHX CA buddy. 11 it is.

Edit - is that 11 in US colors? I count 8 in service today on FTWeb. The rest must be in c-check or spares.
