The wheels are coming off at Pinnacle

Wow.. it definitely seems like this thread has gone way off of its original topic.. which was 9E. Its all about Mesaba and ASA and LOrd knows what not
Anyhow.. I guess we can come back to our original discussion.. Pinnacle!!
Has Pinnacle received all of its remaining 5 900's from Bombardier yet or just received a couple of them? Do they all go in service together this month along with the other 2 they received prior to receiving the freedom airplanes?
By the way... Happy New Year everyone! Hope its a great 2009 for everyone at the regionals on here at airlinepilotforums!!

I have HEARD the following "theories" revolving around 9E.
-30 CA displacements are a ploy to try and get the pilots to sign a sub-par contract.
-XJ will be giving us back the -200's they operate and they will get more -900's in there place.
-Talks with United about Q400 flying (Colgan/9L) and other RJ flying (9E) IF Mesa goes TU.
What I KNOW to be true:
-There are going to be mediated talks in January (have not heard a firm date).
-The 9E stock price is at an all time low.
-Performance numbers for December will be much lower than the previous month(s) leading DOT numbers.
-The company has "said" no furloughs of FO's.
Just trying to steer the thread back here since the ASA troll with numerous screen names appears to be getting the attention he/she wants for entertainment.

Mgmt is putting out a 30ish CA displacement so the thoughts of hiring is a far off dream.

Anyhow, I honestly have stopped hoping for a NH class, and not even anticipating one in the near future. I in fact have prepared myself that the class might not even happen all of 2009 and so i wont be surprised if thats what happens. Just trying to stay updated with things at the company..
There were talks by people on this thread that the displacement memo should be official mid this week.. has it finally been put out?
And do you personally know when all those new bombardier aircraft go into operation?
I think 2009 will be a very tricky year, specially the first 2 quarters. I guess its all just predictions, and things can go either way for any regional for that matter. Its a wait and watch kind of game at least till the summer to see how things shape up for 9E and what delta does.

I personally have not been to work to see the memo and won't be back for another 10 days but the union has put out info to the pilots, the company has put the memo/displacement online- so yes it's official. I find it interesting that the effective date is march 2- it's a while off and march 1 would be the last day that those who had been displaced in the last vacancy (sent to ATL) would lose the "super seniority" rights for any vacancy that ended after March 1, 2009. As far as the -900's in ATL... I would have to go and find the document and don't have that time right now but we have not received all 5 from what I have been told. We have 3 parked outside Mx in MEM and (from some ATL based buddies of mine) ATL is fat on pilots and have more airframes than lines of flying. The only way I see movement right now is a pilot contract that would require higher staffing or something our of left field from the game of DCI survivor (which I doubt since we couldn't even keep the 5 freedom birds we were operating). Pinnacle, mesaba, skywest (I think) still have option orders for -900's and one of these afternoons I will sit down and figure out where the scorecard is on 50+ seaters in the DL network and how that adds up in the JCBA for the "new Delta" scope clause.

I must have missed something big here, but as far as I can recall, the intent of the Freedom CRJ-900s was never to keep them. So "losing" them isn't a big deal at all. We should be getting our replacement aircraft this month and next month. We shall see. I'll bet we see our full 16 on Februarys bid. If not.... oh well.

We have something like 4500 hours in ATL. 17 airplanes until Jan 13 and 15 after.... 119 CA before the 8 displacement, and 107 FOs. So that'd bring us to 111/107. 35CA/36FO on reserve (ugh!).

Looks like the company decided not to do any leave of absence. (foleys crewtrac message). It looks like there will be 30 displacements now.
Sounds like the company is trying to play hardball. I cant wait til this bite them in the ass. Two years in a row they are gonna lose millions because of cancellations. Then blame it on the pilots...perfect!

It's starting on the 2nd instead of March 1 because March 2 is the first day of the March bid period. If the vacancy was effective March 1, the 1st is still incuded in the Feb bid period and the company would be scrambling for coverage on the 1st by displaced guys that were allowed to bid for Feb.

Pre-displacement. Our DH is delayed; however they keep us on the flight we're supposed to take once we get to base because "there aren't enough crews" to cover it. And they want to downgrade 30 CA's??? Who is going to lose us the Delta contract? Pilots or management? Management, because they can't staff worth a damn; and, oh by the way, Pinnacle sat on the ground when the RVR was less than 1800.
