8 bucks for un-skilled un-educated labor....... Too little?????? Yournuts!!!! You've drinking that Detroit autoworker juice!!!! Welcome tothe entitlement mentality..... yes they have a thankless job....butthats what its worth. We should expect performance from them no matterthe pay rate!!!! I say we replace all the getto rats with migrantlabor.....They woud be happy to do the job!!!!! Eliminate welfare tokeep the boys hungery and people will knock down the doors to work theramp. The biggest issue is trying to find Detroit labor with out afelony record!!!

And for you PCL CREW..... how do suggest that your wonderful topof the industry airline could do better??? Are you suggesting that yourmanagment could instill a work ethic in a town ruined by the UAW?? Areyou suggesting that you all going to transplant workers from some ofyour other award winning stations???? I am a little confused!!!!!

I will never understand some pilot's complete and utter self-loathing. It's funny how you can assign what a job is worth. 8 bucks an hour is near poverty, and you will never get anyone who is willing to stay at that job. This is why people quit in droves at the first sign of real cold.

Also, lay off the punctuation there buddy. I understand you're trying to be emphatic by writing your nonsense, but 6 question marks doesn't make you look any smarter.

You are the reason why the regionals pay what they do. You are sitting on the side of management thinking "yeah.. I don't deserve that much!" Congratulations.

Look, the proof is clear. When a job pays what it's worth, people stick around. When it underpays, there is high turnover. Regional ground crew are woefully underpaid.

Happy New Year.

Are you willing to give up part of your paycheck to get better ramppay??????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????? Simpleeconomics.....There has to be a bottom to be a top. Most of the reasonthat the economy is in the state its in is because of the mentalitythat you are entitled to a big house in the burbs. If you are notwilling to gain a skill..... Chucking bags is not a skill..... then beprepared to work for 8 bucks. Why did you go to Purdue.... to gain askill... to be payed like a professional.....

Put it in perspective....$8 dollars an hour equals $16,600.... yespoverty. FO pay $21,000 still poverty...... Ramp no skills, noeducation.... only requirement strong back and a weak mind. Iagree lets give them all a raise!!! Pay them better than the pilots. Ithink your onto something. I am not the reason we get payed whatwe do. The people that came before me are. I knew what we were gettinginto when I jumped in. So did the ramp help. If you want socialism moveto Canada.... Ask them how well it works!!

Increasing pay to motivate improved performance is absolutely not socialism. In fact, it is really capitalism at it's most free market basic level.

Socialism involves ownership and control by the state. No one here is talking about that. Paychecks signed by management are a function of capitalism.

capitalism also produces common labor beig payed as common labor.

The beauty of working in a capitalistic society is you can paveyour own way to a better life. If you want or desire a better life for yourself go work for it. Don't demand that someone isresponsible for giving it to you.
No I don't agree that managment should be payed what they are, but they chose which side of the table to sit on. We are labor, we work for them.
If the ramp help wants more money, bring something to the table other than a bad attitude and work shoes.
I love ramp help at outstations with universities. Most of them arethere, working their way through school, looking for a better life.DTW, they are working because the hand-out cart has pulled away and this is the only thing they are qulified to do. A product of a democratic social program loving society.
