Default Eagle Displacement Rumors?

Okay, so how many have heard: 50 ORD EMB FO's are being displaced to JFK and LGA for February. Gosh why did I pick this career field...Anyone else hear any of this?

I would wait for the flow plan to come out with the displacement results in it. Remember the final isn't due out until the 11th and I thought I saw an email from CS saying that the new flow plan containing the displacement would be out on the 12th.... So sometime this week we will see for sure.

In light of the number of pilots in this country furloughed, the ones about to be furloughed, and the state of the industry you should feel lucky that you "MAY" only be displaced.....

I think I called this on a post last week. I wouldn't doubt anything though.

Wow...so true..thanks for pulling the morning mucus out of my eyes. (that was sincere)

But its just that I can't afford NY and people think pilots will quit if displaced.

Plenty of crashpads at reasonable rates (for NYC) in the area of both airports... LGA even has a few within a 5 minute walking distance... and two next to hotels with airport shuttle service (tip well).

I hope that didn't come across to harsh.. I meant it more as it could be worse. It is stagnation central here at AA, contract negotiations are going nowhere, the economy is heading south.. I then realize what I have compared to many others and feel a little grateful..

I am based out JFK, and commute. There are reasonable crashpads in the area. If you get displaced drop me a note here, I 'll buy the coffee..

Regards,

Right. But i've been told to expect another displacement posting in February from a captain I flew with who is an IOE captain. Because BOS will be closing in February, most will take ORD. So the word is, that will displace 50 FOs from ORD to JFK and LGA. That's what I am hearing now and apparently no one else on APC has heard this. Hope its wrong.
