First off I hate ignorance:mad:

Second try one of the original captians to go through training who also help write half to the company manuals.

Any way this is not a who's bigger contest the whole point of my original post was that unless you are paying the bills for that fuloughed ASA guy don't be quick to judge. At the end of the day the company can care less what you do and your fellow pilots who are still flying the line are not going to pay for your childs day care. So if providing for your family the best way you know is going to another regional (even if its not every ones favorite) then by all means your alright in my book.

Our present 80 was simply to get rid of the "Temp" hires for last year's Summer off of the company's seniority list and pawn them off to GoJets.

Doesn't sound like our system Chief Pilot is having much trouble convincing the giddy boys and girls who just HAVE TO FLY A JET to leave ASA's seniority list to get on over to GoJets and resign their seniority numbers.

Gotta get us temporary workers off the list somehow.

Please explain what the company gains by getting you off of the seniority list? Apparently you are getting furloughed, and that sucks big time, but what does ASA gain by getting rid of you? Also, the company didn't hire you to be a "temp" as you put it. When you were hired, the company was hiring 40/month and upgrading 20/month. The attrition was also in the 20-30 range. No one could predict this whole economic crap sandwich that was handed to all of us.

I think that was JetPipe's point

That has to do with furloughs, not with getting people off of the seniority list. I am asking what advantage does the company have to pawn people off to go jets.

I was just adding to it. ;) I agree with you, I think the only people that has anything to gain from others leaving to GoJet is just one less person to get recalled before me. Company has no advantages, heck... I think the contract says they can drop us from the furlough list after 4yrs. That's a long time for just 80 people.

Last Thursday, 5 CRJs had flap failures and that was only in the first half of the day. All of those were in very cold places such as Des Moines, Harrisburg, Toronto..etc..seems to be on the rise with colder temps. The spare crjs are for the increase in mx issues such as these and also for the 2 damaged in BTR.

Emotional I see.

Leading reason I don't really venture around these parts anymore.

I don't have to explain anything to you. One, because there is nothing to explain and two because it was clearly sarcasm.

There are a lot of great people at our company, but the motives of Scott Hall must be considered by all those presently flocking for a GoJet interview.

Actually I think the message you wrote below is the only one filled with emotion. Talking about the 80 furloughs as "temp" employees and Scott pawning them off to gojets.

All I am asking you to do is back up your claim with fact. What does ASA have to gain by getting you off the list? They have already dumped lots of money into training you, and they held off furloughing while most other companies were, so I don't think I'd classify the unfortunate 80 as "temp" workers.
