ASA to get additional 200's
 

I'm still somewhat confused but here is a memo from the MEC

"In the wake of ASA’s recent announcement furloughing 80 of our pilots, our Director of Flight Operations has now said the company will take delivery of two additional, “used” CRJ-200s from Comair. This despite a significant reduction in block hour flying, a planned phase-out of 20 CRJ-200 airplanes by the end of 2010 and low CRJ-200 aircraft utilization – 6.5 hours per day compared to a normal daily utilization of 9-10 hours. We’re being told the two additional hulls will be maintenance spares and are needed to make up a shortfall in spare aircraft."

Situation Normal.....Just another day in the Delta DCI shuffle

We have plenty of 50 seaters sitting around at Comair. Take your pick!

we need some spares, we are wicked short on 200's this week. I guess some rampers decided it was a good idea to smash their tugs into a couple of 'em. Or something like this anyway.

I feel bad for COMAIR they dont really deserve to be getting beaten like this from Delta.

We need extra 200's for all the flap failures we've had. I know of 3 we had last night alone.....

WOW I'm giving up on trying to keep track lol. At least a few less furloughs for ASA.

Dang, I just wish we had that kind of communication from our MEC......
