Man,

S H was just trying to help guys that were laid off from his company. He had a connection there, to one of the only companies hiring in the US, so he offered to pull a few strings and help in any way he can. What would you do if you were the boss of a company and were forced to lay off your workers? If you choose to not accept the help, don't take it, graciously.

yup! I even sent him an e-mail, said that ASA was the only place I know of that is helping the furloughed guys with a new job if they want one. Well.... TSA did get their guys jobs at GoJet.... but that's a different story.

How many people left to GoJet?

Buddy at ASA went to the job fair in Miami this weekend, said the recruiter there hired him on the spot but they are only hiring for Chicago so he turned it down.

I am very sorry you are getting furloughed, but you seem to have a good attitude. I'm sure something will come your way shortly.

I agree, there are a lot of great people at ASA, and I believe Scott Hall's motive is trying to help those of us on the street. The company gains nothing by pawning us off to another company. What they will gain is replacements who may or may not pass new hire training. By keeping us on the seniority list with no benefits or pay they have 80 people they know can get back on the line quickly.

I would try and avoid the task of understanding what the managerial staff are thinking when they do things, it might just cause your head to explode.
