Default Lakes training contract and other ?'s

Well I did the interview and got offered the class date but not sure if I should take it. There's a couple things I cant wrap my head around. The training contract is still in effect even if you get furloughed except the days your furloughed dont count towards the 15 mo. That seems wrong maybe I read it wrong. Also I heard msp or mke is replacing stl as a new base is this true? If so, this is the more junior base correct? How senior do you need to be right now to upgrade if you have the tt and just need time in type? Thanks in advance

STL/MKE/MSP, any of these are/will be staffed by more senior people who want to be there.

Upgrade, still as soon as you have 300 in type, probably 4-5 months, though it will be slowing down in the near future.

And, no, you didn't read the training contract wrong.

Right now DEN is our only base (STL doesn't count) and it really depends on what everyone bids each month. The crews flying in Montana are still DEN based -they're just TDY up there. Also, the Montana flying is an extra $5000+ a year due to the TDY pay.

MKE isnt bad at all. You can find a relatively cheap place to live and even though GL pay isnt that great, you can still afford to super size a value meal once a month.
If I had to choose it would be MKE all the way.

Speaking of the 300 in type...

is it projected that someone that got hired in the next class would still be upgrading that quickly?
