Man, I can't wait for this program to take a dirt nap for good. I just feel really bad for all their students...wish I had a way to warn them that the snake oil they bought was the same brand of BS that burned me and some others! They took my money, and my dream to fly for a career! They lied about all those "guaranteed interviews" from the beginning! My 10-12 months turned out to be over 18 months! And the student they interviewed is estimating his/her "1-year program" to be a possible 2-year program!! I hope he packed enough cash in his luggage to take him/her through that extra year!
As I said in the past, stay the hell away from this CRAPT program! Karma man...I'm going out for a beer to celebrate their demise! Spread the word! CAPT is definitely NOT the place you want to send anyone for flight training!

with your times you would have been competitive at quite a few regionals over the past couple years and still competitive for one that is hiring. Competitive for the aerial survey gigs too. Why don't you try and get a flying job.

It did suck for me. But I didn't buy my job. I bought a program affiliated with Embry-Riddle and I bought their name and their advertised guaranteed interviews. I knew they couldn't give me a job. With the low time, I bought their ability to show me the door. But I didn't get that.
The point here isn't what happened to me. The point is that the CAPT program is not the place to do flight training. My pursuit of a career in aviation is over. My only mission is to spread the word that CAPT is a very unethical place to risk your money for flight training. There are PLENTY of other flight schools out there. CAPT is where you get screwed. Just ask any one of the 160 people in the program today. Ask them why they are in the position they are in. I'm sure that wasn't in the brochure when they all signed up.
Welle036, after I got out of the program, I had $2000 to my name and $101,000 in debt. The math just didn't work out. Regional airlines pay crap. Had they made good with the 10-12 month timeline, I would have been struggling, but at least I would have had a chance with a regional pay scale. I even looked to local parachute jump and banner towing operations. They all wanted turboprop time and the banner towing wanted taildragger time, which, the CAPT program does not provide. And they also didn't do CFI for any of us back then. Good times...
Anyway, the message is simple. CAPT is not the place to get your flight training. Plenty of other places to get flight training. Why go to a place where people have been known and are to-date being screwed by them?
