Exclamation flight school closed

Personally, I think this thread should be moved to the 'flight school' thread, but anyways... Here is an update about the flight school known as "CAPT". Click on the link and see what happens...

Yes, if you had 1000/100 or 800/100. I wasn't even close. After awhile, I just had to laugh at the numbers.

I'm confused. Did you attend the CAPT program believing that you would graduate and walk into a $150,000/year job? Ofcourse the regional pay is garbage. This should not have come as a surprise. Not to sound like a bastard, but before spending $100,000, why was this critical information missing?

I budgeted for 12 months. I was very specific before I signed up to ask the time line question as I knew it would be a critical decision making point. They told me 10-12 months, more like 10 months because their program is very rigorous and full time.

After coming up to 12 months, I had a choice. Drop out or take out more money to finish the program. Do I walk out and go home with nothing? Or do I finish what I started? The rest of the story you know. Had they made good on their word on even 12 months and guaranteed interviews, the financials would have made a little more sense despite the low regional airline pay.

I just call it as I see it on the line. All I will say is that I didnt pay a ton of cash to sit in a big fancy simulator and play airline pilot for a month and later try to translate that into experience. Funny thing here, I never mentioned my background, or flying ability. The name was a joke btwn college friends....classy way to enter this forum, I see you have 9 posts now....did you get banned on another name?

Truth is, during the 4 or so years that Riddle owned this program (which it doesn't anymore and which has now been turned into a completely different animal), approximately 100 students trained, graduated, interviewed, and were hired by various regional airlines (ASA, Pinnacle, TransStates, Air Wisconsin, and Piedmont to name a few). Furthermore, many of them were fortunate enough to have been hired on the front end of the last hiring wave. A few have even upgraded and many of them are senior enough to not have to worry about the big F!

Unfortunately, this gentleman, when it came time for the final exam (getting an interview), choked! He couldn't seal the deal and sell himself enough to be able to get that all important interview. He thinks that with the money he paid, someone else should have done that for him.

Just thought I'd set the record straight...
