you had 9,000 taken out of your paychecks over a year?!?!?! Good lord!! I think I had maybe 3,000 ... and I think even that's an over estimate. I don't think you're making 3 times what I am either ...

I'm wondering if you guys think that pay and work rules have reached a bottom, or if the airlines could be successful in cutting pay, more so, and years from now, compensation may be cut, again, as has been the case, over these past several years, by as much as 40%.

All I can really say there is I really hope not. I hope that our wages can't be cut much more than they are already. As you've probably read on these forums. Some of the first year FOs literally qualify for food stamps. It's truly awful.

Or they are rich and can afford to buy their way into the rightseat. Pay and work rules probably haven't reached the bottom yet. There are those that will do the job at any cost or for no cost at all. What is the encouragement to raise the standard of living for those already on the line? I don't see one, especially from the corporate execs who run things.
