Thank you.....

To the Controller who kept the other planes safe while initiating the search, and to the first responders who kept this unfortunate event from spreading.

Quote: I logged on today to see what people had to say, and I'm astounded. We have a CFI speculating on skill level loss due to flying part 121 with an autopilot. We have someone who is at least apearring to possibly fly an A320 who thinks he is immune to any misfortunes due to his immense experience and size of his airplane. And someone mentioning payscales?! This is unbelievable. People log on to these places to read this stuff. The media reads this stuff. Friends of those pilots are on here. None of us are invincible or perfect. Until the NTSB proclaims the cause, let's just take a moment and remember the lives lost.
Well said. All that's needed now is quiet reflection.
Did I miss something? Were these pilots forced to fly into nighttime known icing conditions? Where is the ADM? The radar was indicating moderate to heavy precip in the area at the time of the accident. If it is icing to "blame", no doubt you can consider that a factor to the crash, but the only reason it happened is because they flew into those conditions during the most critical phase of flight in the first place. Excuses just don't cut it when people are dead.

You are obviously not a professional pilot. All airliners are fully equipped for flight into known icing and we do it all the time.

But avoiding ice is critically important for amateur pilots flying light aircraft...keep doing that and you will have a long life.

Go sit down, please.

i think there is a briefing any minute..... watching CNN... not that the media gets much correct when it comes to airplanes.

Grow up.

Don't you dare blame the pilots for anything in this flight. You don't know a thing about what happened on that aircraft.
