Grow up.

Don't you dare blame the pilots for anything in this flight. You don't know a thing about what happened on that aircraft.

We fly into icing all the time; we can't fly into "Known Severe Icing!" There’s a BIG difference.

Guys this thread is probably swarming with reporters and other media types and curious/ignorant members of the public. I say close the thread for now unless you just want a moronic msnbc type blog going on and on forever.

I'm surprised so many pilots are this quick to judge... truly disappointing.

My heart goes out to the families and friends.

CNN right now says 50 killed. I don't know if that has been reported. It was saying 48-49 earlier.

I'm going to try this one more time ... Everyone please just take this time to mourn the loss of our friends and family.

Let's NOT speculate on what happened because nobody knows until they go through the CVR and FDR. Please.

For what? We aren't allowed to converse on anything now because someone might read it? We're simply reporting what we're seeing on TV.

CNN just broadcasted a video from last night at the accident scene and you could see the fire engines just getting on scene, sirens blaring. You can hear the chaos of the people on the street screaming and yelling and cursing and it almost sounds like you can hear the fire burning in the background. Just an awful awful scene. Everybody needs to stop the childish bickering and just pray for those lost and their families....unbelievable!

I saw a report that said there was "an off-duty pilot" that was not accounted for at first (jumpseater?).

Sad, sad day. Thoughts and prayers to all my brothers and sisters at Colgan....
