Default pinnacle to the paint shop?

I heard one of the reasons that they are extending the LOA's into april and beyond is because our NWA birds are going to start heading to the paint shop about 5 a month. Has anyone else heard this?

I haven't heard it, but I guess it makes sense. I was wondering why they were still doin those LOAs when it seems like this whole company is on reserve.

How long does it really take to paint an RJ??

When AWAC made the switch from United to USAir, the paint shop in Greenville MS took just a couple days to clean, paint, and dry.

Given the Maaco-esqe paint job on most of the Trans States Birds, i'd assume it takes about 25 minutes to paint a plane, and about 25 minutes for it to cure enough to be flyable....just like the sealant around the cockpit windows...

So what would you suggest, Delta not rebrand previous airlines and have kept Pan Am and Western liveries around to save money.

They are throwing money away by keeping hundreds of money losing 50 seat RJs flying. Not by repainting them.

Send over our way at ExpressJet, we could use the paint business!

I'm sure some of you would love overnighting in Saltillo.
