Either you are looking at an old/erroneous ad, or I am throwing a BS flag. There are plenty (at least 80) Saab FOs with the hours to upgrade. There is no way management could justify hiring street captains.

I don't mean to mix up the pot or start any flame guys. I first saw it on APC, then went to Colgan's website to confirm. In the Careers section of the website, there is a link that says "Please click here to apply for a Pilot, Flight Attendant, or Mechanic position." I clicked on that, and it took me to the Airlineapps wesite. I then clicked on the "Requirements" link under the Pilot Career heading. It advertised that they are "hiring SF-340 and Q-400 FO's and direct entry Captains on the SF-340."
Now with all that being said...I just checked the site again, and now it says they are not hiring pilots at this time. So...I guess we can close this thread now! Hahaha! Gotta love technology.

I got a call from my friend this morning as well saying he saw we were hiring... I didn't know anything about it either. I GUARANTEE you we are NOT hiring street captains right now with the number of FOs that are qualified to upgrade. Either that, or there are going to be SEVERAL FOs refusing trips because of managements stupidity.
Last I checked we were down one Q, and we aren't getting more until sometime late next year. But, I also know that we are "cleaning house" currently (source is one of the higher ups).... and that may be creating some openings somewhere, but I can't back that part up.
