I see what point you are making but there is nothing misleading about that FA announcement. It is not like they say "The person flying the airplane is the captain assisted by the FO who is trained to sit on his hands."
But thats the implication to a lay person. Im not challenging the command of the captain, but to a pax "assisted by" means assistant, ie trained to sit on hands. Im not arguing this point for my own ego, Im just saying that people outside of our industry including pax and the media will continue to misunderstand.
