Schedulers do not know anything about attrition, It jsut isn't part of their job. Ask the Chief pilots office or the "planning" dept.

2 months of being back on reserve and I can't drink enough on my days off to numb the pain.

Another Comair "recall" updates thread? Seriously? Comair is not going to recall ANYONE this year! And schedulers down know squat about attrition!

siuaviation you are a smart guy! You moved on from Comair and aren't hung up like some other guys on this board. Comair will NEVER be what it used to be and even IF you would get recalled, yes you would have a job, etc., but your QOL will suck. Go to Great Lakes, yes the pay sucks, etc, but Lakes has a better chance of growing with planes, EAS routes, etc. than Comair ever will. Lakes is the only true commuter airline left in this industry!

And I bet you will fulfill your contract at Lakes before you even get a recall letter from Comair.

I love how so many of my fellow furloughed brethren are RIPPING Comair.

Let's make a deal guys..DON'T COME BACK IF YOU HATE/HATED IT SO MUCH.

It'll mean more of us who want the job will get a slot.

You're right, Comair isn't what it "used to be". Is that going to be your argument for EVERYTHING your entire career? It'll never go back to where it was, and it shouldn't. A regional airline's place in this business, is a stepping stone..no more..no less.

I plan on stepping back to Comair, and then stepping out as soon as i can.

By the time I will get recalled, I will be working somewhere else and don't have to go back to CMR anymore, because it will be a looong time before I get recalled, and I'm more than half up the recall list.

You are exactly one of those people who isn't looking at the big picture. The regionals aren't a stepping stone anymore! Where are you going to step? The majors? With more E170s/CRJ9s coming online, there won't be any major airline jobs left to go to. That so called 3-5 year regional airline job will no longer be a stepping stone anymore. It will be a career!

Anyway, I'm done reading 2 Comair Updates threads. Can't we merge this onto the other one?

That makes up for those of us that were on year two pay for three years - and the second two year 2s were less pay than the first year 2.

I heard we were all getting recalled tomorrow, but it could be a rumor. My buddy told me this today.

Good luck at Great Lakes... I have too many strings to go that route.
