Not a shock. The mentioned they were heavy on pilots on the PNCL side and may have to offer LOA's

Well I guess it's been a couple weeks since they tried to JA me for a highspeed. Now it will only happen every 3 weeks.

To whom it may concern: QUIT PICKING UP OPEN TIME

getting to the fo's was inevitable. Almost every dci carrier has either furloughed, or furloughing, or thinking about furloughing. We wont be any different. the only thing is we have been running so thin for so long that it is just now catching up to us. I am not saying we are going to furlough and i haven't even heard that as a rumor, but the slight downturn in hours is a sign. The drop in hours isnt much (i think maybe just 1000 since the beginning of the year) but in true pinnacle fashion they are going to try and squeeze out every dime they can. The thing to not fret about is that they havent just gone ahead and furloughed. The are looking for loa's so they dont have to do it. So they still think we will need the pilots in the not to distant future. They may not need them right now which is why they offer loa's, but they may need them in the not to distant future, which is why they haven't furloughed.

I hope they let us do it like the captains are. I want 2 weeks off every month. and that is what i will be putting in for. that will keep me current, keep my flight bennies, and give the company money for my benefit deductions.

Delta wants to pull out so many 50 seaters it is crazy. We have felt the sting at comair and unfortunately I think you guys have the biggest fleet of 50's in the US. Does anyone know the details of your NWA contract?

True it beats the alternatives. However, we all know that Voluntary LOAs come just before the furloughs...if the furloughs are indeed to come.

Am I the only person that has noticed we're almost 5,000 marketing hours down year over year with the same amount of pilots?

I think we ARE overstaffed. You keep getting JAs, extensions, and drop refusals simple because that's how Pinnacle operates regardless of staffing levels.
