JFK-LGA repos. 9 miles over the ground.
|
to bad usair doesnt have any mainline flights between two of their hubs and philthy. Both LGA and DCA are all express all day long every day.
One of the most annoying days i ever had was 6 legs all in the state of Ohio on the 145 TOL-CVG-CMH-CVG-DAY-CVG-CLE. |
ord-mke
8 minutes |

We operate PHL-ATL on the CRJ. It's a total farce. Never an empty seat and these are two of the biggest cities in the US and their main airports. Flights between major urban areas should simply not be on so-called 'Regional' jets. There's nothing 'regional' about flying from JFK-ORD. Or PHL-ATL. Or.... the list could go on and on. |

JFK to AUS in the 900. Any weather and the aircraft has to stop in route for fuel. That looks mighty stupid in the eyes of the passengers. Had one flight there where we blocked over 8 hours on the one leg due to delays at JFK. Nice to sit 8 hours in an RJ.
Nothing like a 3 or 4-day trip doing a AUS or DFW overnight(22 hours+). Wake up and fly aus-jfk back to aus or dfw just under 8 hours of block with a 22+ hour overnight. I loved those trips. My longest was JFK-AUS 6 hr 45 mins. with a 2 hour sit in JFK due to taxiing behind the intl departures after 5:00pm. I know of 1 captain who blocked over 8 hours JFK-AUS due to weather at JFK plus taxiing behind all the int. departures. However, we never stopped enroute for fuel.:p Of course it was the 170 so it was comftorable too. I think their is a youtube clip about us when the JFK delays were really bad couple years ago. I wish we had those JFK-AUS/DFW legs though. I had a lot of days off with those trips. Enjoy em! |
Yeah the TOL - DTW flight is pointless but the SAAB is always filled apparently.
|
Any flight where either pilot has to get up and use the lav in the back and do the "walk of shame" is too long for a CRJ.

XJT does a ridiculous amount of flights that shouldn't be an RJ:
EWR-OKC, EWR-TUL, EWR-NAS, EWR-MCI, EWR-LIT, EWR-XNA, EWR-STL, EWR-MSY, CLE-NAS, CLE-MIA, CLE-PBI, CLE-MCO, CLE-TPA, IAH-NAS, IAH-PIT, IAH-SLC, IAH-ABQ, IAH-PHX, IAH-TUS, IAH-YYZ, IAH-BOI (now removed), IAH-PSP, IAH-MEX, IAH-PVR, IAH-SJD, IAH-ACA, IAH-HUX, IAH-CME, IAH-RIC, IAH-DCA, IAH-ORD, IAH-MCO, IAH-RSW.....They even used to do IAH-GUA. Am I forgetting any? Its always funny when I talk to mainline guys and they tell me how sweet the schedules and overnights will get once we're at a major and get away from these "regional" schedules. You tell me whats regional about a 25 hour commutable 4 day with overnights in Boston, Cabo, and PHX. Boston the hotel is right downtown next to everything, Cabo is an all inclusive resort in the beach, and PHX is also downtown close to a lot. Yeah, these "regional" schedules are for the birds... |
