Default Nantucket Shuttle?

I was wondering if there's anyone that is currently employed with Nantucket Shuttle or flew with them in the past. I was only able to find 1 thread that briefly mentioned them during my search. I'm curious on what the flying is like; multiple layovers like any other airline, or is it primarily day trips and home during the evening? If you have the time do they put you in the left seat or do they start you in the right seat? Quality of contract?

Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and fly safe.

Do some more research. I've read nothing but bad things about them from a passenger and pilot standpoint. If you want to do that type of flying I'd look into Cape Air.

Thanks. I just thought I would try another thread since there's only ONE on Nantucket Shuttle. I'll make some calls and ask around. Thanks though.

Most of my info on the Skuttle is second hand, but they do not have a good reputaion amongst the pilots of their direct competition. Nantucket Shuttle only flies HYA-ACK-HYA. All trips are out and backs. There is no contract. I have never seen a shuttle FO. I have seen 10 passengers get off their airplane. They pay double to triple what Island and Cape Air do for the same flying. They charge passengers much less(I think its about 25% off). They never miss a flight for maintainance. They never have a deferred autopilot. The conditions are never too poor for them to go on time. One ex-Cape air pilot (who was bat-s*!t crazy) flew there for a while, when he left he said "(Shuttle) takes too many chances." They've been known to fly at night with their lights off, "So you can't see us."

The money is tempting, but there is a good reason they pay so much more than the others doing the same thing with the same planes at the same time.

One of my buddies was in management over there for a time. Stay away from 'em. Come to Cape Air if you want to do this flying, and do it right.

It seems as if he was doing research. Isn't research asking questions on a topic? It was when I was in college at least.

I said do some more research. It sounded like he only did a search on APC. Use Google and do a search, I got a ton of results from other message boards, passenger complaints etc. Make some calls, talk to friends, etc. That is research, not just a search on APC.
