Congrats! And you're right, this couldn't have been placed in a worse section.

Thank God that most RAH pilots aren't so excited about benefiting from the demise of others.

Whooaa slow down skippy. I benefit the LEAST if RAH succeeds in their "takeover of the world". I suggest you get your facts about me straight about me first before you judge.

forgive me for being jumpy. Perhaps you should express your dismay so those exclamation points didn't seem so rejoiceful. I wasn't the only one who thought you were excited.

EDIT: terrible engrish

Lies, all lies. No west coast base. Who is your source? By the way, like it or not RAH is moving toward a "traditional" major. You may not like how they are doing it, but it is happening.

No problem. I should have expressed my self better, also I should have posted this in the right section (I was in the majors section by accident when I posted, chalk that up to old age) I am the least bit excited about this. What the hell is Tilton doing over there?

If you were upset by this, I would suggest changing the title of the thread from "West coast base for RAH!!!!" to "This sucks, more mainline flying being replaced................."

Touche' my brother. Nonetheless, Why is it that mainline flying as we know it seems to be eroding in front of my face? seriously, something has to be done or all of us domestic flyers will have to scrap and scrape for any international flying left.

I'm the lasssstt person to start rumors but according to a very reliable source, because of the success with RAH doing Spokane routes and a downsize of the 73 lift for United in the fall, they (United) is looking at expanding more west coast routes with RAH and a possible SFO domicile is in the works. They even said they (RAH) has been recruiting in LA for FA's already. Can any of you RAH guys validate this?

EDIT: Just realized this was posted in the wrong section. Move it if will be.

Many have tried (well, a few), none have succeeded. Although COEX still seems to be hanging in there.

Transforming from a fee-for-departure, wet-lease airplane shop into an actual airline isn't as easy as it seems. Apparently selling your own tickets and turning an actual profit seems to be rather difficult.

But come on in. The water is fine (pay no attention to all the blood in it). It's a great business that you'd be crazy not to invest billions in!

When using 50 seat RJs, anyway...

But you're right, evidently its not that easy to sell your own tickets and turn a profit...even with planes larger than 50 seat RJs. Just ask UAL/AAL/DAL/SWA/FNT/MEH/etc...
