If they are released to strike and big daddy D culls them from the herd. It would be a cheap investment to puchase and pick apart. I don't think a bunch of leased 50 seaters would be enough to protect them from being bought and dismanteled.

Just looked at that, didn't realize they had so many 50's. I wonder if the plan is to replace that flying with more 170's for delta. Not sure if Delta's scope will allow it or if they are already maxed out on their "big RJ's".

RAH has acquired or is trying to acquire Mokulele, Frontier, and Midwest. In all three cases, there were numerous financial transactions and published articles detailing the actual or intended purchase of control. There has been no public information regarding RAH and Pinnacle, so I would say that there is no truth to this rumor.
Another reason BB would not want Pinnacle right now is because of the negative public perception of Colgan Air in the wake of the Buffalo crash. RAH is trying to sell its own tickets on Midwest and Frontier, and does not need to have a black cloud floating over its head. Articles and news stories about Colgan will continue to come out over the next year, and in each of them it would say "Colgan Air, owned by RAH, who also operates Frontier and Midwest airlines..." Too much bad press tied to Pinnacle for now.

Anyway, as far as the Colgan thing, they could probably dissolve that company and move the Q4's over to Lynx.
