SkyWest Fall DAL Flight schedule update

Looks like DAL's not going to be cutting our flying all that much this fall thanks in part to Mgmnt's creative abilities.

I'm puzzled why ASA Mgmnt hasn't been more proactive in pursuing pro-rate flying and other more creative options for ASA aircraft and crews.

Note: ASA pilots please continue to show your professionalism and keep it civil. Remember that if you were still owned by DAL you’d probably be headed down the same road as Comair. JMHO.

Yes, 4 years ago I was hoping for an interview at OH (lived in Prospect, KY (SDF) for almost 6 years).

I guess in the end it’s truly just dumb luck.

But ASA crews will have a little more to complain about with SKW securing some at-risk CR2 flying for September and October out of ATL and CVG. I'm puzzled why ASA Mgmnt hasn't been more proactive in pursuing "pro-rate flying and other more creative options" for ASA aircraft and crews.

That is really puzzling, I'm sure it will really **** off the ASA guys if skyw 200's are in ATL. Jerry prolly told Brad that they were going to take care of skyw first, and we at asa will be left to pick up the sloppy seconds.

There are reasons for everything, and I am sure that what you are being told is not exactly the way it went down.
EV is getting hosed, they know it, and it is what it is. It is part of the deal when you are owned by someone else.

From knowing how this arrangement works, ASA management is told what to do and how to do it. Lets not kid ourselves, they will always protect SKW first. It is SKW Holdings baby.

Without a doubt.

ASA has much higher costs than skywest. Remeber also back in 2005/2006 when ASA was purchased by skywest and ASA was negotiating a new contract. ALPA did nothing but drag its feet on the 700 and 900 pay and didn't want to even meet half-way.

Also I don't know if you should be posting that on a public forum, that was info sent out in a company e-mail.

ASA's cost can't decrease much with furloughs in place. Everything continues to get more expensive. The cheapest pilots are gone.

I have no doubt that there’s a double standard here and SKW Airlines will always be their baby. Not that I like it but all others will just be supporting cast.
