A little off topic but Im sure there is a lot of Pinnacle traffic here to answer my question. Delta is constantly up our butts over at ASA to save money and one of the ways we do so is by single engine taxiing and keeping the APU usage to a minimum. This method has had a large impact on our fuel savings. In no way am I being sarcastic but I can't help to notice that just about every Pinnacle 900 in ATL seems to taxi on both engines and sits at the gate plugged in with power and air with the APU running. I could care less, but I was just curious if you guys have a program similar and are just trying to stick it to the man or this isn't something that is enforced at Pinnacle.

Kind of goes along with showing your dissappointment with managements lack of cooperation. Just figured I would ask.

Timing and pressure leaves me to feel that there was a caving in by the company.

Some of the gate air hoses could not reach the LP air intake, hence the APU at the gate. As far as the two engine taxi goes, well, I'd say that was up to the crew. I for one wasn't necessarly motivated to save any fuel.

I used to think until an hour ago that single engine taxiing and not having the apu running was dangerous. :p
