By the sounds of things it doesn't seem too good... time will tell.

About time is correct. Pilots will get to see it after the union reps all vote on it in two weeks.

Curious what the five year fight for industry average will produce. I can't imagine the negotiating committee would accept and send to the pilot group a lousy deal because they will be met with pitchforks. But I also can't imagine Mr. T giving away an industry average deal either.

It's give and take. Some parts are expected to lead the industry, some will be par. The union received lots of input from the pilot group. I can't imagine they would go through so much work just to go back to the drawing board.

Out of curiosity, what were the parts that the pilot group wanted "industry leading"? Would you want superior pay over work rules or vice versa. If anything, I would hope Scope is number 1. Without an iron clad Scope clause, you could make $300/hour and it wouldn't matter. The senior guys at 9E may be all about the retirement but the bottom half maybe wanting more money to take home and feed the family. Since this is the first regional contract to come up in quite some time, I'm curious what the demographics are in the group.

Default Feeling good yet?

I hope the pilot group feels good about this news. We waited a LONG time, and never gave up.
Now how much is that signing bonus!

Scope with a side of scope for one. Iron-clad indeed. With Colgan's progression nipping at our heels, it was a big issue for some time. I'd expect this won't be one of the issues if there is anything that will stop this TA. We don't expect compensation to 'lead', but rather be on par (especially when in comes to 200 FOs, who were subpar by a lot). The rest will come out shortly.
