I'm interested to find out what everyone's voting philosophy is...for instance, are you looking for improvements over the current contract that still may not bring us to or above industry average in many areas, or are you looking for a TA that raises the bar/slightly above industry average in all areas?
No doubt this TA will be an improvement, but I don't see it matching or going above industry average...REALLY hope I'm wrong!

good finally someone else that gets it...thank you my faith was beginning to fade.

too much "vote no no matter what cause thats what you are supposed to do" (usually said by guys with less than 2 years in the industry)

too much "I'm voting yes I'm just sick of not having a contract" (many senior and junior guys)

too much "I'm voting no because deadhead pay is only 75% (even though hourly pay is increased to $120/hr)

read the whole dang thing first then use YOUR brain and decide.

I love how people on our message board are already complaning and no one has even seen the TA yet, and it hasnt even passed mec vote yet. I have figured out that some people will never be happy no matter what happens. I am excited about this TA because its a glimmer of hope for us. IF it passes the mec and i get it and look at it and its terrible, then its my job to vote no. If its something i like, i will vote yes. I just don't understand how people blast union leadership for something we havent even seen yet.

Rock solid scope means that the colgan guys better be paying attention to this contract and its details because it will be their contract by the end of next year when they are merged with us. I also think that the q400 order is for pinnacle inc. Once our colgan brothers are brought into our seniority list all the planes come with them. I believe that is why they kept the company name a secret. If we all saw an order for q400's for pinnacle inc. then we would have known something was up before the contract got done. They would have shot themselves in the foot if we knew we were getting more planes.

i know. but you have to remember we have a lot of big talkers on those message boards and its the same people spouting the same stuff over and over again. they are FAR from the majority in this pilot group. Most people are reasonable and understand that you have to read it to make a good choice. i mean we aren't the current administration who just votes for something with out reading it are we?

If I was looking for a contract that was just about industry average, I wouldn't have expeceted to wait 4 years!

.... 4 years later, I expect a contract that will make up for the past few years of sub-average ...

I hope you all you guys take off your rose colored glasses and look at this as a career contract you can live with. Make sure you take into account upcoming legislation and the sacrifices commuters may have to make. The way things have been going (have been saying this for 2 years) this could very well be your last airline. Flying around 50 people for $24 an hour with poor work rules... you guys got taken advantage of. It's time for them to pay no matter what the price. Unless you are getting an Obama bailout, a company that can't compete with a minimum of industry average wages shouldn't be in business. It has been 5 years too long that the pilots of Pinnacle have subsidized mgmt bonuses. I hope you guys can shoot a little higher than average. Good Luck

That's "rock solid" scope.
Never going to happen. What will most likely happen is a merged list with fences for a set time period. This way everyone will have access to fly any plane their seniority can hold.

Lets also get something clear. Those Q's are as much "bought" as your house is, they are financed by EDC at around 4%.

Would Colgan pilots have the same argument if in 3 years oil is sky high again and the Q's are making great money and PNCL Corp decides to acquire more 900's?
